Obituaries – Cora Griffith Miller
CORA GRIFFITH MILLER OGLE
Cora Griffith , daughter of Benjamine and Jane Porter Griffith , was born near
Montpelier , Ohio, January 14 , 1870 and passed away February 28 , 1941 at her
home near Montpelier, Ohio.
She was united in marriage with Frank S. Miller , December 24, 1890, who passed
away in 1923. To this union were born six children, two of whom are living __
Wayne G. Miller of Lake City , Florida and Louis Miller of Seattle , Washington.
She was united in marriage with George Ogle o January 24 , 1895 (this should
be 1925) who is left to mourn her passing, as are also a step-son , Robert Ogle
of Toledo , Ohio , two step-grandsons: two sisters Mrs. Alice Weigle and Mrs.
Ethel Gosline of Montpelier , Ohio and one brother Howard E. Griffith of St.
Petersburg , Florida.
In her young womanhood she was converted and became a member of the Eagle creek
M. E. church and for several years past has been a member of the Methodist Church
in Montpelier.
Mrs. Ogle was a faithful wife and mother and remained true to her Lord and church
until His final summons to be with Him in the Land Beyond. She will be greatly
missed by loved ones, Neighbors, Pastor, and friends. I cannot say , I will
not say
They taht are dead , they are just away.
With submissive smile and wave of the hand
They entreed into that Better Land,
And let us , thinking how very fair
It needs must be since they linger there:
And you , oh you, 2who so fondly yearn,
For the welcome step and the glad return,
Think of them living on as, as dear ,
In the land of there as the land of here."
